-Strength for Today- "What to Do When Life Seems Hopeless." - Isaiah 43:19

Ok, so you didn’t get that pay increase as promised, nor did that that job promotion come through. Now you’re humanly bewildered and you’ve:

·       Placed “worry” in the driver’s seat, allowing

·       Frustration to become your emotional steering wheel,

Which is leading you away from your planned purpose. But as a child of God, you don’t have to worry, because He has it all figured out!  Everything in your path, even that stumbling block before you, its intent has been cancelled because God has a plan and purpose in whatever you’re facing. Even that temporary uncrossable mountain for His glory, He’ll can cut a clear path through it. In such times as these God’s power has the opportunity to shine the greatest. It’s in those times:

·       When you’ve come to the end of yourself,

·       Where you know you can’t depend on your own abilities,

Or anything you have, or anyone you know. It’s here that the Holy spirit reminds us that we’re totally and completely reliant on Him. Those times are the most powerful of all. In such times the sovereignty of God is revealed, so that:

·       He can do a new thing… “even making a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

·       He can split the sea, or any barrier before us, and allow us to walk through on dry ground.

·       He allowed a shepherd boy to slay a giant, and bring victory to His people.

·       He closed the lion’s mouths in Daniels den, and provided him with safety.

·       He opened prison doors, and set Peter free,

·       He can speak to any storm and command its turbulence to cease.

God puts purpose in your heart and has written a destiny over your life. And if you’ll trust Him enough to take Him at His word, we you’ll find yourself on a journey toward the fulfillment of that planned purpose.

So what I’m trying to tell you this morning is that “God is the God of miracles”, and He never changes. In other words, your situation isn’t so unique that God can’t conquer it. “There’s nothing too hard for Him.” In the fullness of time, He sent His Son to bring light to the darkness in this world. And He:

·       The Son of God,

·       The Bright and Morning Star.

·       The Savour of the world,

“Is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), is right now, seated at the right hand of God is fighting for you!

Therefore, remember that the path that takes us to the promise is always wrought with “thickets” and “thorns.” Nothing worth having ever comes easy or without opposition.

·       Storms will come,

·       Lions will roar, and

·       Our fears will be confronted.

God allows the path to be difficult because He intends on refining us and preparing us for our place of promise. He is intent on extracting from us, that which our enemy would love to use as leverage against us. The bottom line is this, God loves you too much to promote you before you’re ready.”
