-Strength for Today- "As We Approach the New Year, There’s Something America Really Need to Know!" - Jeremiah 4:2.

???In spite of?“the many privileges that are available,”?America still has an even greater responsibility. And “that first responsibility is to God,”?who has allowed the?“blessedness”?we now share?“throughout our beloved country.”?

??So, regardless of?“one's political persuasion”?the Apostle Paul hammers home the truth?of?responsivity?when he wrote:?“Everyone must?submit?to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God, (Romans 13:1), so instead of allowing a?“critical spirit to?critique”?our?“purpose”?every day “need to be a day of focused gratitude,”?with a mind-set on?“seeking the guidance of God.”?It’s?“the approval of God that makes a nation great,”?and?“not the genius on mankind.”?But the level of?“morals”?and?“the depth of this nation’s faith in God.”?

So, as a nation, America’s consciousness needs to be?“on our responsibility to God.”?Because?our greatest sin as a nation is the sin of “self-satisfaction,”?and?“indifference to God.”?History teaches us that?“indifference to godly righteousness”?is?“the predecessor of national deterioration.”?

So, sincere faith in God is the noblest thing that America can have. Because the?“important thing” about “God pleasing faith,” (Hebrews 11:6), is?“the assurance of Him being on our side.”?Faith in God often becomes?“the balance of power”?When David dared to face the giant Goliath, “he trusted not in swords or staves”?but?“in the Lord.”?He faced the towering giant of the Philistines undaunted,?unafraid?and said: “Thou?comest?to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into?mine?hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”?I Samuel 17:45.46.?

America, we?need to know as a nation?“that adequate equipment is insufficient to win a war.”?And?“without the blessing of God upon our nation, we’re living in a?state false?security.”?The?most potent weapon in existence is?“humbled prayer,”?that’s?bathed?in?“the inward conviction that we’re on God’s side”?and?“that our cause is just and right.”?

?We?“need”?and?“should be a light to the world.”?Because?“darkness is prevalent,”?and “light is needed to wipe it away.”?But?we’re?as a nation, as a whole?“living in darkness,”?doing things?“we probably never thought would ever be done.”?Because “all these laws” and “actions are at best are just “promoting sin” and a?“state of immorality.” But America, that can change by?“surrendering to God”?and allowing Him?“to use us to reach the lost.”?

With that convicting thought, “we not only need a greater faith in God as a nation”?but as?“individuals,?we?need?“to know God in a personal way.”?This comes only by?“the surrendering of one’s faith in the sacrificial work of Jesus did on the cross.”?– Romans 10:9-13.?
