-Strength for Today- "Walking Through the Fog." - Hebrews 11:1

Walking through the fog will strain your visibility, and bring about confusion during its process.  And all that you can do is cry out to God, “Lord, I’m confused and scared, please show me the way” It then is here that your faith is tested, as you walk through life’s blinding fog.  Our key verse, (Hebrews 11:1), reminds us that true faith is finding certainty in uncertain territory. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Therefore, “foggy situations’ produce’s a deeper faith.”

This chapter, introduces us to different examples of extraordinary faith, including:

·       Moses the Murderer – vv-23-29 and

·       Rahab the prostitute – v.31.

As we read this chapter, we’re shown that each "Hall of Faith Honoree" demonstrated faith during the foggiest times of their lives. Just as God was with them, He’s with you, right now, no matter what you’re facing today, whether:

·       You’ve celebrating a mountaintop experience or

·        You’re facing:

1.    Uncertainty about your health, or

2.    Bad news about your job or career of a lifetime,

But know this, the same God who’s with you on your sunny, clear day, is the same God who’s with you on the foggiest night of your life. David said, “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” – Psalm 23:4.

Therefore, if you’re looking beyond God for a way out of your fog; you’re looking in the wrong direction. Jesus Christ has to be the center of every aspect you face in life. No matter how dense the fog is that you’re walking through, Jesus is the only way, (John 14:6), out of every situation you’ll ever’ face, and not just in times of need, but continually. And with the Holy Spirit living within you, and your faith turned towards Jesus Christ, He’ll lead you, as you walk through the fog, back into the light!
