-Strength for Today- "Victory in Spiritual Warfare is Through Prayer" - Ephesians 6:12.
Sometimes life will “jeer” you with its unashamedly, demonic rudeness. However, as believer, you can't afford to allow that manner of disrespect to complicate your present. Because where we’re “standing” now,” determines your future. There's a constant "spiritual warfare” going on. I’m not talking about the war on:
Poverty, or
Terror,
I’m speaking of a war that has “spiritual consequences,” a war where Satan proudly echoes his “demeanor of evil.” “Spiritual warfare” is an ancient battle between:
Good and
Evil,
Which began when Satan was cast out of heaven – Ezekiel 28:12-19; Isaiah 14:12-14. This confrontation escalated to the Garden of Eden, where the first man, Adam, received a “spiritual death blow”-” Genesis 2:17, that has echoed throughout the history of mankind. Jesus came to earth and faced this battle daily.
The devil tempted Him in the wilderness, and the battle raged,
Jesus was sent to the cross to die, and the battle raged.
On the third day, He rose victoriously, but the enemy still hasn’t surrendered. This “spiritual battle” continues to rage today, and the destiny of the entire world’s population lies in its outcome.
The Apostle Paul, clearly described this outcome, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” - Ephesians 6:12. Surrounding us in this “war” are:
Angels vs. demons
Good vs. Evil, and
Light vs. darkness. But amazingly, many believers live as though this conflict is just another a “religious hoax” Yet, none of us are immune to its consequences. Daily, to some extent, our live are affected by its devious effects.
So, where we’re standing now, dressed in the whole armor of God, (Ephesians 6:14-17), determines our future. Our victory must be “saturated in prayer,” (v.18), with the reality that God has given us everything we need to live victoriously, and to:
Experience and
Become all that He created us to be.
God won’t dress us in the “weapons of warfare.” We’re going to have to put on the “Armor of God” ourselves, “every day,” in order to experience the victory that’s, ours!
Victory in Jesus
I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, how He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me. I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, then I repented of my sins and won the victory.
Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me 'ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.
