-Strength for Today- “There’s Only One Way to God.” - John 14:6.

???Today, Satan is having a field day, as many in our society?"wrestling theologically”?with the “different paths” they feel can lead to God. But even in their?“driest desert,”?in the midst of their?“contradictory claims,”?if they’d simply open up their Bibles and “read Jesus’ bold assertion”?which says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me,”?(John 14:6), they’d see that the Bible marks the?“clear path to God.”?

The Bible shows us the four?truths, due to?disobedient sin, that gave cause for that path:?

?????1.?“There is none righteous, no not one;?

????2. There is none who understands,?

????3. There is none who seeks for God;??

?????Why???“...all are gone out of the way; they are together become unprofitable;?(and for that cause),?

????4. There is none that doeth good, no not one”- Romans 3:10-12.?

???The whole human race is one?“depraved,”?group of sinners, born with the?“deceptive?similitude” of Adam. And because of that?“inherited trait,” “sin”?is a?“coloring book,”?in which,?all of?our “actions,” “motives,” “thoughts,”?and?words.”?are “smudged”?on its pages. And despite our best efforts to create a perfect world, crime statistics continue to soar, as our societies are crumbling?“spiritually.”?

???So, contrary to how the world would?“repackage it,”?God’s Word says, “The wages of sin?is?death”?-Romans 6:23a. Because our?“spiritual”?and “physical death,” comes?from God’s righteous judgment of our?“sin,”?which is a contrast to His?“infinite holiness.”?Scripture says,?“God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all” -?1 John 1:5). God is?absolutely holy, which creates a problem for us. If?He’s?so pure, how can we who are so impure relate to Him???The only relational way is through His Son Jesus Christ,?“our substitute, who knew no sin,” but?on our?behalf, He became sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.?- 2 Corinthians 5:21.??

?????In short,?we’re?“...Justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”?- Romans 3:24. Which means:??

????1. To be?“justified”?is God’s act of mercy declared righteousness to the believing, while we were still in our sinning state –Romans 5:8.??

????2.?“Redemption”?is Jesus’ act of paying the complete price to release us from sin’s bondage.?

So, in humble obedience, Jesus willingly endured the shame of the cross for our sake – Philippians 2:8. His death satisfied God’s righteous demands,?whereas?He no longer holds our sins against?us, because?His own Son paid the penalty for them.?We’re?freed from the slave market of sin, never to be enslaved again!?

Those four truths describe?“the only way”?God provided as the way to Himself through Jesus.??The price has been paid in full by God, we must respond to His?free gift?of “everlasting life”?in “total faith”?and?“confidence in Him to save us.”?By coming to Him just as we are and accepting His way of salvation through His Son, is the only way of salvation.?“For by grace, you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast”?Ephesians 2:8-9.?
