-Strength for Today- "Peace Amidst Uncertain Times." - Acts 19:32–41

Time is the spiritual mechanism that God places before mankind, for the purpose of establishing His righteous purpose. Each of us have a unique history. Therefore, you don't need to dread tomorrow, nor dread your uncontrollable circumstances. It's a decision that's called “leaning on the everlasting Rock”.

     I was so uncertain about my future as an adolescent. I stuttered badly and didn't think I'd ever be able to give the time of day, much less deliver a speech. But there was a dear Christian woman, Mrs. Maggie Middleton, who saw something in me I didn't see. I didn't know how to speak in public. But because of her constant encouragement, she became the “town clerk”, and I learned!  

    Eventually, the uncertainty of my future was turned around. Public speaking was an open door I'd never considered as an even remote possibility. So, all adults, pay attention to those who aren’t on the top, because you just might be that person God is waiting to use as His “town clerk. Such is true about those mothers who are struggling to make ends meet with their kids, not knowing:

·        Who they are,

·         Where they're going,

·        What they're doing and

·        Why they're important?

    So I say to you moms, in these day-to-day, constant assignments you suddenly become God's “town clerk.”  As such, you take charge of and free your child so that he or she begins to grow in confidence and can get on with his or her way in life. It happens through the painful, consistent, daily, constant effort of motherhood. You who hold any position, and that’s all of us, from:

·        The street sweeper to

·        The CEO of the world’s largest cooperation, 

God wants to use you as an encourager in somebody’s life, because they’re struggling and is in need of peace. He simply wants you to be available. You may not hold a:

·        Lofty position in society, nor  

·        Live in a fancy house, nor

·        Drive a fancy automobile.

      But if you’re open, God is there at your door, and knows just the vehicle and timetable needed for you to complete His purpose, and get you to your place of purpose on time. So relax and watch Him work. Today, you might be living being intimidated by people, then you need to come to terms with your lack of peace, because God is bigger than any person!
