-Strength for Today-"Judging Others." - Matthew 1-7
When we look around us, there’re a multiplicity of opportunities throughout the human race that are readily available for judging others. Even pastors in this system have joined ranks with the opposition. Their messages are filled with the poison of asps, and their purposeful stance are loaded with compromising despair.
However, when it’s all said and done; the fondness cradled within the demented mind of man toward “judging” and “deceiving others”, extends far beyond the boundaries of:
· Civil,
· Political or
· Social matters.
Because when we delve into the matter scripturally we can see that, from God’s perspective, that, “There is none righteousness, no not one” (Romans 3:10), because of the universal guilt that was mandated in the Garden of Eden. And from here, (Genesis 3:12), “pointing a finger at:
· God and
· Others
Has become the norm, for trying to justify that which God declares to be evil. Jesus knew humans would struggle with judging, therefore He contained a stern warning in His Word: “Judge not, that ye be not judged –Matthew 7:1. What Jesus is saying here is that:
· We aren’t to render prejudiced information, nor are we to make a
· Verdict within the “courtroom” of our human standards.
Because the inner motives of others, and that of ourselves are the ultimate call that only a Holy God can rend. Judging others, in an unbiblical way, is what Satan does Revelation 12:9-10. In addition, this leads to ruining other people’s lives. Judging others in an unbiblical way, will robs us of hope, and our critical spirit will steal our:
· Joy and
· Peace,
Thus making it impossible to trust in God’s power, (Romans 15:13), because with such a mindset we become vulnerable to hatred. And when this seed is planted, it’ll take root in the “seed-bed” of our hearts and mind, and in its “demented productive season”, the only fruit hanging from its tree is the fruit of:
· Condemnation and
· Unforgiveness – Proverbs 6:16-19
Therefore, when it comes to judging others’ “actions”, “thoughts”, and “motives”, there is no perfect, impartial judge, except for Jesus.
