-Strength for Today- "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" - Hebrews 13:8.

???????In the midst of?this ever-changing environment,?it’s?good to know that?“Jesus Christ is the one source that has never changed.”?He was in the past?“exactly”?who He?“practically”?is in the?“present”?and?“precisely”?who?He’ll?be “forever!”?And for that cause,?there’s?no other way to describe the?“immutability of Jesus Christ!”?

When we look at the word?“same”?we’re?seeing a?“sovereign expression,”?declaring that?“Jesus Christ”?is?“unchangeable.”?”?Now, that’s?“good news,”?because?we’re?living in?“this chaotic world,”?when every “nanosecond,”?things are?“changing at lightning speed!”???

However,?Jesus Christ is?“the One Person”?we can depend on to be the?“same,”?regardless of the?“time”?given in any age. So, we?don’t?have to “synchronize,”?from one age to the other,?“who Jesus is,” “what He thinks,”?or?“what His message is,”?because?“He’s the same,”?and?everything?“He represents”?is the?“same” “yesterday,” “today,”?and?“forever!”?

The word?“yesterday,”?according to the late Bible scholar, G.M. Joseph,?is from the Greek word?“exthes”?which is an action expression denoting?that “all time that ever was up until the?dawning?of this present moment,”?is a complete description of “the ages?or the?days last past” which?didn’t?exist without Jesus Christ.??in this verse, the expression?“yesterday” and today”?is?“one phrase”?which is a portrayal of “Jesus Christ’s continuity.”??

So, “Jesus Christ,”?isn’t?“one way in the past”?and?“another way in the present.”?Whoever He was?“in the past”?is?“exactly who He is in the present.”?Therefore, if you discover “Jesus Christ of the past,”?you’ve?also discovered Jesus of the present,”?and?“you’ve?discovered “Jesus Christ of the future.”?Why? Because?“He’s God,”?which means?“He’s continuously the same.”?

The word?“forever”?means?“into all the ages of the future,”?including?“all ages that will ever be known.”?So,?the conclusive description of Hebrews 13:8,?is?that “Jesus Christ is exactly the same in the past, in the present, and in the future.”?I?don’t?know about you, but I am so thankful that Jesus Christ is?“the same,” on God’s scale of sovereignty “yesterday”?and?“today”?and for?“all future ages!”??

??So,?in light of?this wonderful truth, I?confess my agreement with what the Bible which, declares in Hebrews 13:8,?that?“Jesus?Christ”?is exactly “the same,”?which is a divine expression?of His saving power that His Father in heaven gave to Him.??

??Today?I invite you to receive with me “the stabilizing victory”?and?“strength”?that?“His unchanging faithfulness”?can bring “to every area of your life.”?No matter?“who”?or?“what”?may change, when you?“emphasize by faith”?the?“exactness of His?saving power,?(Romans 10: 9-13), you can say?wholeheartedly,?“my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness!”?
