-Strength for Today- "The Inexpressible Nature of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." - 1 Peter 1:4-8.

Jesus is the reason why we can say, with absolute confidence, “Our Father who art in heaven.” He’s in a class all by Himself, because He’s God. First of all, times may change, but He never will, “...He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. And as the late S.M. Lockridge once said, “His goodness is limitless, and His mercy is everlasting.”

So, being inexpressible, there're no words capable of demonstrating the unfathomable passion and purpose of His earthly mission. Jesus’ death shows us what a:

  • Vile,
  • Relentless

    System can do to someone:

       1. Who dares to live within the freedom of their being, and someone

       2. Who chooses to root their identity firmly in God rather than

       3. Being subsumed to this world’s agenda.

In addition, the cross shows us how we’re loved in God’s eyes.

Because, in order for Jesus to fulfill His mission (Luke 19:10), He must willingly submit Himself to that “vile” system. At the cross:

  • He confronted the weakness of the human heart, and the
  • Moral of a corrupt society.

And in the process, the system, “tortured,” “humiliated” and “killed Him.” He plunged headfirst into the depths of the darkness of our brokenness. On the cross, Jesus demonstrated for humanity, that the “the shadow of death,” wasn’t the complete image of who we are. Yes, for our sake He died, but thanks be unto God:

  • Death couldn’t handle Him, and the
  • Grave couldn’t hold Him!

Even in times like these, God has already seen through the darkness. And on each soul, He sees His divine imprint. Therefore, when you’re in Christ Jesus, nothing can take that away from, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Not ourselves, not what anyone tells us, not even this evil system we’re in, (Romans 8:38-39), because, at the cross, God saw through the darkness, and saw the wondrous potential for our frayed human hearts and souls in the shed blood of His Son – Romans 5:8.

As vile as the world system is, and as broken as the whole human race is, at the cross Jesus’ light shined through Satan’s corridor of darkness, and reflected light in a world engrossed in satanic darkness.

 Only Trust Him

Come, every soul by sin oppressed, there's mercy with the Lord and He will surely give you rest by trusting in His Word

Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now, He will save you, He will save you He will save you now

For Jesus shed His precious blood, rich blessings to bestow plunge now into the crimson flood that washes white as snow

Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now, He will save you, He will save you He will save you now
