-Strength for Today- "How Do You Share Your Faith" - Matthew 28:19-20

We’re living in a world of lostness; a world where even the religion seekers are looking for:

·       Someone, or

·       Something to cling too,

So that they might achieve the needed direction for their life. Sharing your faith, with family, friends, or even those in the market place is God’s intent - 2 Corinthians 5:16. Various methods are used to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ to the lost. Regardless of which method you use, or how responsive people are, you can’t open anyone’s heart to the truth of the Gospel, but God can, by His Spirit can. Throughout the Bible we’re shown how God uses those who perhaps weren’t eloquent. But He used them because they depended on the Holy Spirit to guide them. God used those like:

·       Moses, who at first asked God to get someone else to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land, or

·       Jonah, who didn’t think the wicked Ninevites were worthy of God’s mercy and tried to run the other way.

When God called you to your place of purpose, you were like a fish out of water. But when you surrender to Him, He refreshed you with His living water, and as a spring of water welling up to everlasting life,” (John 4: 10-15), His Spirit enabled you to share your faith.  And as Christians, we’re all called to share what Jesus Christ has done. So that non-believers can receive the spiritual cleansing that comes with the acceptance of God’s offering of salvation – Ezekiel 36:25; Ephesians 5:26

Some of Jesus’ last words on earth were, “Go and make disciples of all nations” - Matthew 28:19. Sharing your faith isn’t just a suggestion:

·       It’s a command, and

·       It’s that dutiful platform,

·       Upon which you stand,

For the purpose of bring people to Jesus Christ. You share your faith, when you obey His closing command. And in doing so, the Lord has promised, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
