-Strength for Today- "How big is your God?"
The concept of God is so deep, and yet so profound that it must be this respect for His holy presence that no one was even to touch the mountain. The people were to wait upon God to speak to Moses and hear God's words through His servant Moses.
When I read this passage, I was floored because this is a needed reminder of the awe-truck power of God. This story makes it clear that we live in a day of pitifully shallow concepts of God.

Some view God as a great pal to have in a pinch. This is a shallow view of God which leads to a shallow life. So when you cheapen God, You cheapen yourself, and the life He has designed for you. So treat God cheap and weak, and you become cheap and weak. But when you hold God in profoundest respect, and it is remarkable how deep the roots of your spiritual life grow.

- He is the Master.
- He tells us what to do, and
There is no safe option but to do it. He offers no alternative, no multiple choice. We have but one directive, and that is to do His will. We reaffirm that truth in our times with Him. When does all this occur? It starts today. We can trust this truth. The Lord is our God. He does not bow to our hurried pace, but in silence He waits for us to meet His demands. And once we slow down enough to meet Him, He is pleased to add incredible spiritual depth to our otherwise shallow lives.
