-Strength for today- "God’s Treasured Love." - Romans 5:8

When contemplating love from the mind-set of humanity, it can be expressed through many treasured points of view. And depending upon the circumstances, this kind of love can be lavished dramatically with inward thought of pride and selfishness. But the greatest love ever known is God's:

·       Abundant, and

·       Unconditional love.

This is a love that has been demonstrated with God’s divine connectedness,

A perfect love that has flown down through His perfect nature to an imperfect people - John 3:16, Romans 5:8.  And for that cause, God’s treatment of forgiveness toward an imperfect people, was treasured and shown completely when, His own Son, Jesus was on the cross. And when Jesus, having completed His mission cried out, “It is finished,” (John 19:30), the Father accepted that perfect sacrifice of His Son to cover the sins of all His adopted children.

So don’t think for a moment that love came easy, because to love and to be loved is the bedrock of our existence. “…in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” - Romans 5:8.  And as a fellow named Smiley Blanton put it in his book many years ago, “life really does boil down to:

·       Love or

·       Perish,

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved” – John 3:16-17.

David said, “God’s eyes were fixed upon my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them” - Psalm 139:16. Therefore, looking at love from God's vantage point, we can see that there’s no room for insecurity. Because in all of whom He as breathed life into is, or has been a treasured being. Once we understand God’s constant interest in our lives, which clearly expresses desire for salvation of all who’ll trust in Him. This is His reason for reaching out with His divine connectedness, because He, “Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” – 2 Peter 3:9.
