-Strength for Today- "God’s Plan for Our Pain." -1 Peter 4:19.
At one point or the other, to some extent, we’ll all walk down a pathway, that’s paved with pain. But let me share this with you, God never wastes a hurt! The most important thing you can remember when you’ve been treated unfairly is that Jesus is on your side. And that you’ll never be able to move beyond your pain, as long as you’re judging it through the eyes of contempt.
1 Peter 4:19 says, “Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” Throughout the Bible, God shows special care for people who’re treated unfairly.
· He’s a God of justice.
· He hears your cry,
And sees your pain, and knows you were hurt, and has a plan for your pain. Because in His timing, He’ll “Let judgement run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24), as He shine the “Light of His love” through your circumstances. The “path of pain,” we’re on is sometimes, excruciating, yet we can’t give up, because when in Jesus, this is the only way that we can:
· Sustain and
· Secure
Righteousness. God uses our pain to develop our character, and to make us stronger. But most importantly, He uses our pain. In this life:
· Pain, and
· Trials can be frightful,
And we don’t get an explanation for the “pain” we endure in this life. But in the “sweet-by and-by,” we may understand. But God doesn’t owe us an explanation for it. Here’s the good news:
· We don’t need an explanation.
· We just need to know that God loves us,
And that He has a plan for us. And He’ll will settle the score with whoever hurt you.
In The Sweet By and By
In the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by, oh, we shall meet on that beautiful shore
There's a land that is fairer than day, and by faith we can see it a-far. For the Father waits over the way to prepare us a dwelling place there
We shall sing on that beautiful shore, the melodious songs of the blessed. And their spirits shall sorrow no more. Not a sigh for the blessings of rest, to our bountiful Father above, we will offer our tribute of praise, for the glorious gift of His love, and the blessings that hallow our days
In the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by, oh, we shall meet on that beautiful shore.
