In setting a standard, it can and often does include the following elements:?
Resilience and Mental Toughness:
Adversity forces leaders to confront situations that are outside their comfort zones. This experience builds resilience – the capacity to bounce back from setbacks and challenges. Resilient leaders possess the mental toughness to withstand the pressures of high-stakes decision-making, uncertainty, and change. They learn to maintain a positive mindset, even in the face of adversity, which enables them to inspire and motivate our teams during difficult times.

Leaders who have experienced adversity are often more compassionate and better equipped to address the emotional needs of our team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Enhanced Decision-Making Skills:
Adversity often demands quick and effective decision-making under pressure. Leaders who have navigated through challenging situations develop sharper decision-making skills. Humility and Continuous Learning:
Adversity humbles leaders by revealing our limitations and mistakes. When team members witness our leader's ability to conquer challenges, they are more likely to believe in our capacity to overcome obstacles. This shared experience creates a sense of unity and trust within the team, fostering a culture of resilience and a willingness to take on new challenges.
