Strength To Strength

It is not often that I sing our praises, however, with all teams within the SES Group (Aviation, Show & Event Security, Rail, Academy, and Logistics) having such a successful time, I wanted to thank them all publicly, and to make our readers aware of what we are achieving.

At the centre of what we do is our most valuable asset, our staff. Our teams are happy people. Why? Because they are treated like “family”, and we support them as such as well.

Through empowerment, tenacity and hard work, the teams have secured more new customers that I thought was possible. Our services cover multiple sectors, and being an agile company, and reality driven, is providing a winning mix.

We are seeing more and more customers come to us, as opposed to us going to them, e.g., we have been approached by a number of overseas customers to provide security training (aviation & non-aviation) – next week I am visiting the Middle East to have meetings with 3 different countries.

The Show and Event Security team were deployed for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, including the Garden Party, and sadly, her funeral, along with the King's Coronation – which was over 30,000 shifts! Proving we can successfully deliver security for such high-profile events; our order book is looking very healthy indeed.

The Rail team are also doing a fantastic job. They provide Station Security, Critical Response Officers, and Property Inspections – all contributing to keeping railway commuters safer.

The Aviation team are expanding as our reputation for quality compliant training, at competitive prices spreads. Our portfolio of products and services continues to grow, encompassing some less traditional, but much needed, services e.g. Our Customer Response Officers, and our Rapid Deployment Resilience Service.

The aviation security teams are doing a truly fantastic job at Luton, Stansted and Edinburgh ?Airports and multiple other locations – providing essential operational support in one of the many formats we have.

The Aviation arm of the group has outperformed all of my expectations and continues to do so. We joined the Airport Operators Association (AOA) as a corporate partner this year – and what a success that has been. We were invited to give an overview of our services and vision to the AOA Board Members, which was welcomed with much applaud.

In the current economic climate, we all have to play our part in saving money, not just internally, but also to help our customers cut their costs. We are acutely aware of the cost of training and have committed to provide training at affordable prices. I am proud that our low overheads mean we can pass the savings on to you, our customers. Once area of the business which is flourishing, due in part to the low cost, and that is our eLearning training.

The training academy team have worked exceptionally hard to produce an array of quality aviation security eLearning courses e.g. GSAT and Air Cargo and continue to add more as the requests for more courses keep coming in.

As a Group we provide over 400 eLearning courses, that cover 14 different areas e.g. Customer Care, Personal Development, HR, Finance, H&S, Education, Business Admin, Hospitality and more…

The logistics team have also set up an aviation screening and logistics service not far from Heathrow – providing a variety of services from collection/delivery to security screening and storage.

We continue to grow as a Group, but expanding only within our capacity - We don’t promise what we can’t deliver, and our front door is always open if you would like to join our family.
