Streamlining Collaboration with Tools

Five years ago, I was introduced to Microsoft Teams. I was the trainer on a project where we deployed Microsoft Teams across our organization. This was right before the pandemic. On March 20, 2020, everyone was told to work from home. Microsoft Teams kept teams connected.

Collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google Workspace are indispensable for modern workplaces. These platforms centralize communication, document sharing, and task management, making it easier for teams to stay connected and organized. As an IT organization, we have to make these tools available as well as train users on how to effectively use these collaboration tools.

Here are some best practices::

• Train your users on the effective use of chosen tools.
• Implement governance for each of the tools including naming conventions and expiration policies.
• Create a Champions Community to help socialize new features to increase adoption.

Choosing the right tools and using them efficiently can transform the way teams work together.
