They Streamlined For Me

I lost one hundred seventy five followers. Who knows who followers are, anyway? It is a major reason I never switched to Creator Mode. No one is more creative on this site than I. Connections are better than followers.

Would I want to barrage the ones who agreed to join this ride to four hundred newsletters per year? I describe many topics. It would probably take five different newsletters. Forget that. I have no reason to host LinkedIn Live. As if I have friends.

Some have asked if I would be interested in a video call. They are people I would absolutely talk to over the phone. Do we have to be on video? There was a site pre LinkedIn with an active chatroom. There were two reasons someone asked to have a private chat.

Either they wanted to elaborate on what I mentioned which is a good reason or they wanted me to get naked. I don't think that would happen on this site. You never know. I was on Zoom calls with Sarah Elkins.

She does not want to see me in varying states of undress. It is good that ghost followers are being removed. The number of connections has never meant much to me.

Recently I connected with a woman who has one hundred eleven thousand followers. Is she going to invite them to The Rose Bowl and see how many show up?

Usually it is men who brag about the size of their network. How many people connected with engage and/or post? I doubt anyone has more than one hundred connections they really know.

Even if you have not met face to face- I have not had the privilege with Adina Edelman or Merav Levine. They, and many others, post enough that I think about them and want to hear what they are doing.

They are connections. I can usually recall why I connected with someone. I don't have icebreakers with followers. If the fake profiles followed me and they were taken away- it's not like I was ever going to meet imaginary people.

This isn't a dating site. Those are filled with fake profiles. Good luck meeting anyone who claims to be who they are. The only success I had was in face to face encounters.

Not on some site, not on Zoom. I presented myself in a Zoom meeting and thought people I would meet would know my style of contribution. The ones who showed up either did not know or did not care about anything except how much money they could make.

They forgot about me to my face so there is no reason to devote one more word to the indifferent coaches. I cannot say if any connections were removed. As long as Amber Green and Chris Porreco are still there.

They have gone to ancestry- passing in the same month. I keep the connections as a testament and reminder. Coming up on five years since both abrupt passings- this article changed everything:

It's one thing when a movie is "Going to change everything". That was the buzz on The Flash. More like Flash in the Pan. When your lead actor is on the wrong side of the law press junkets will not be about "What was it like to work with Michael Keaton?"

None of which has to do with Chris Porreco. I had written an irreverent article about dating Taylor Swift. It was a reaction to dating spam. Switching to Facebook I heard what I did not expect.

It took twenty-four hours to gather my thoughts and give the proper tribute. That was the first time I ended a tribute article thanking the deceased. It became the standard ending.

His account has not been closed. That's good. I don't care about how many hundreds of millions of accounts there are on this site. Find a quality group and build a better life.

If you were excited by a number you should not be discouraged by a smaller number. The algorithm is against you no matter what to the point you should not care and some will find your posts. Most won't. Now I have the chance to crack 2800 connections again. It happened once and it's not like I had dates set up with the jettisoned followers. It costs nothing and I shall continue growing my network organically.

When I meet someone new I play up to their posts. They take me into exciting new arenas. As should we all. this is one more reason not to post "Thank you for helping me across the next plateau."

I wouldn't mind someone announcing they passed ten followers. Anytime a zero is added it is a big deal. There are so many things I can do more interesting than attaining three thousand connections and followers.
