Strategy #1: Unlock the Secrets to Doubling Your B2B Leads Using LinkedIn

As we approach the end of an action-packed 2023 and look towards 2024, it's more crucial than ever to adapt our business strategies to stay competitive, especially in the B2B space. As you may recall from our previous emails, one fundamental element for success is continuously innovating in areas where your competitors are lagging.

I wanted to do a 3 part series sharing the strategies that have worked best so far in 2023 and how to adapt them moving forward into Q1 of 2024.

Strategy one: Linkedin Outreach

Becoming a MASTER at LinkedIn is not something to think about, it’s an absolute must to do. If you’re in business you can’t be ok with Linkedin, you must understand the ins and outs of this platform, if you do you’ll be leaps and bounds ahead of your competition.

You've probably heard the phrase "your network is your net worth." It couldn't be truer today. Linkedin is a goldmine of potential clients waiting to be tapped. But let's upgrade the old formula: it's not about who you know; it's about who knows you and what you can do for them.

What has changed?

Are you still sending out random connection requests followed by a sales pitch? If you've read any of our earlier emails, you know that approach is beyond outdated, it will negatively impact you and your brand. The vast majority of LinkedIn users are suffering from 'pitch fatigue.'

The time for spamming is over; it's the era of engagement. As we've highlighted in previous communications, engagement is not about touching base; it's about adding value. And value comes from a deep understanding of the pains and needs of your target audience.

You don't need a scattergun approach, aiming to reach everyone. As you've learned from our recent case studies, what you need is a laser-focused strategy aimed at connecting with those who genuinely need your service.

So how do you do the same thing?

You’ll know your positioning is on point when you start received messages like this:

2. You must improve your targeting on Linkedin

You need to be creative and different, but even more importantly, genuinely care about the person you're connecting with and be human full stop. The way in which you're going to stand out is not having general conversations with 50,000 people using AI.

It's going to be 1000 specific targeted conversations with people who you can genuinely help that are your ideal target market.

You can’t just target based on location, company size and title. You have to be more specific and look at filters that can be more tailored to your audience.

  • What events have they recently attended?
  • Who are they following?
  • Have they changed jobs recently?

If you start to dive deeper into other Linkedin filters you can create a much more tailored approach at the right TIME that potential clients are searching and would be interested in your services.

3. You need to create added value campaigns.

What does added value mean? It means you are helping clients genuinely in a way that helps them move towards their goal. Think about a small piece of the puzzle that if you give away would genuinely help your ideal client move closer towards their goal.

Keeping it simple, if you help someone as a business consultant to increase revenue, what is a step in the right direction? It could be a daily tracker of time, a 10 step sales process, or a hiring template for A team players … whatever that is make sure it adds VALUE to help your client and position yourself as an expert.

You want them to think: “If they are giving this away for free, what they have that is paid for must be UNREAL!” That is how much value you want to give.
