Strategies for Millennial Jobseeking freshers to get the best job offer

Hello Freshers,

In the recent past because of pandemic, many on-campus placements are on hold even in many Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges, and in few colleges where on-campus drives do take place, only few of them are getting offers. Due to this, I have been getting several messages from freshers for guidance and support in order to get them a rewarding job. I was able to connect with few candidates in LinkedIn and other job forums to hired them for Internship in multiple domains HR, Finance, Tech and Marketing. Many candidates after successful completion of Internship was able to crack interviews in Tier 1 corporate and many startup companies. We hired few freshers for our premium clients too. But , I am not able to connect with huge number of freshers because of time constraints.?So, I am writing this article to share the quick strategies for freshers to get the best job offer. Listed below are the common on-campus and off-campus challenges specified by group of freshers.

In the recent past because of pandemic, many on-campus placements are on hold even in many Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges, and in few colleges where on-campus drives do take place, only few of them are getting offers.

On-campus challenges:

  1. Many corporate companies hire from Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges only
  2. Few companies/colleges restrict candidates from certain disciplines to attend the interview. Example - (Embedded/Intergrated course/ECE)
  3. Freshers can get only one job offer during on-campus and with minimal understanding about the job role, they are not able to pick the best job offer.
  4. Candidate is forced to spend whole day or more than two days time to complete the Interview Process

Off-campus challenges:

  1. No clarity about real job openings in job platforms
  2. No transparency between employers and job seekers
  3. No update from HR of the company for Applied Jobs
  4. HR's of the company are not giving us any update, after first or second round of interview
  5. 1000's of candidates are competing for 20 open positions. So, the interview screening process and selection is not transparent
  6. Corporate expects wide variety of skillset and standards from candidates
  7. Around 8000+ new grads were attending a Walk-in Interview before pandemic for a Tier1 company?
