Agreeing with ?Rebecca Zucker ?and?Darin Rowell EdD ?(2021) -?It seems that any given week provides ample reminders that leaders cannot control the degree of change, uncertainty, and complexity we face.?In addition, leadership development is an everlasting commandment that we must all adhere to. As well, the fact that we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow contributes to accepting and embracing the discomfort of not knowing, as described by Zucker and Rowell (2021).
In addtion, emotional intelligence bears a lot of worth when dicussing increasing organisational performance. EQ Leaders that practice skills such as self-awareness conscious through rational thinking have been know to increase a firms ability to sustainable competitive advantages. Rowell and Zucker (2021) maintain that successful leadership is a result of accepting stress as it is, and then using it to improve leadership. As a result, even current economic conditions can support new?leadership?styles that bring about a reduction in geopolitical tensions.
A leader's ability to adapt to different leadership styles when leading through uncertainty can also improve the performance of an organization. (Fahey, 2022) In the current global economy, a small bit of solutions thinking will help business decision making. "solutions to complex challenges typically?emerge?through trial and error and require the willingness, humility, and ability to act, learn, and adapt." (Rowell and Zucker, 2021)
