Strategically speaking

After a bout of some deep introspection,

I realized my life needed some correction.

There was only one person who could help me,

I called my Consultant friend with an MBA degree.

He quickly scanned through my life and said,

"Objectively speaking, we need a strategy ahead .

Let's start by first customising the problem statement,

And then gradually work towards stakeholder alignment.

Did you conceptualize your life on vision boards?

I need the two by two matrix you worked towards.

Is there a long term diversification plan?

Can we quickly perform a skill assessment scan?

Your career graph needs a hockey stick,

An aggressive 10x target should do the trick.

We need to decide a big hairy audacious goal.

And some core competencies you can control.

Sprinkle some holistic ideation and innovation,

A little bit of Blockchain and some laser focussed optimisation.

Needless to say, we'll do some cost cutting,

But it'll be under control with our out-of-box thinking.

Then you will start seeing the results of our planned disruption,

And this sadness you feel will be just a minor interruption.

I also have a Plan B prepared, just in case,

I have it right here, in my briefcase."

Carefully considering my friend's advice,

I replied politely, trying my best to be nice.

"After objectively assessing the merits of your plan,

I have decided to take my chance and be just a normal man.

Needless to say, I loved meeting you,
