Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda

The Horizontal Working Group on 100% Renewable Energy for Industry which is placed within the Renewable Heating and Cooling Technology Platform (RHC TP) will develop an strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. This vision is intended to provide a clear path for 100% renewable energy (RE) heating and cooling (H&C) sectors in Europe by 2050.

The decarbonisation of H&C sectors is an essential milestone to achieve the ambitious climate and energy targets of the European Union (EU).

The aim of the next RHC document, the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) is to identify and overcome market barriers to the deployment of renewable heat solutions. This will be done through a list of research and innovation priorities identifying the challenge to be tackle and the scope and results expected from each priority, in a market-push approach.
