Strategic Planning Workshop Day 2 Gets to Work “Improving lives through Quality Infrastructure - Proudly DID!”

This morning, day two of the DID Strategic Planning Workshop kicked off with a strong focus on the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) new tagline: "Improving lives through quality infrastructure – Proudly DID!".
The MEC for Infrastructure Development and CoGTA, Jacob Mamabolo yesterday urged senior managers to build a data driven DID to unlock investments. He said, “Our new tagline is Improving lives through Quality Infrastructure – Proudly DID!. I know what DID can deliver. We must earn our name as Gauteng’s infrastructure implementor of choice. We should be proud to work for the DID!”.
Today’s working session focused on the theme-based commissions as senior managers delved into the vision and mission of the Department and contribute to the to Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP) priorities for 2024-2029. Senior Managers reflected on Team DID’s commitment to the Department's mission to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects that positively impact our communities across Gauteng.
Senior managers engaged robustly to the contextualised presentations from the First National Bank (FNB)’s John Loos focusing on Real Estate and Property Management. Followed by a presentations from Matome Modipa and Sipho Tjabadi from Sebata Group of Companies focusing on the exploration of case studies and best practices for the delivery of major projects within time and budget. The Office of the Premier’s Sipho Mtshali engaged managers on discussions around the Gauteng’s MTDP.
