The Strategic Planning Meeting
The Strategic Planning Meeting
With the new year just around the corner, we are in full strategic planning mode. Here is one way we conduct strategic planning meetings with clients.?
The purpose of the strategic planning meeting is to chart the course of the business. During this meeting you will identify the key areas of focus that you will focus on to accomplish your goals.?
There are several ways we go about the Strategic Planning Session but the model that we will examine here is the “Traction ” model.?
We want to identify what the overarching goals are that you would like to achieve. Once that is clearly laid out, then we can work backwards and identify which areas you need to focus on to achieve those goals.?
For each key area of focus we then identify what the specific actions are and who is responsible for them.?
The end result will be a plan that you can have that clearly identifies your yearly and quarterly goals.?
As preparation for this kind of a Strategic Planning Session, we will have our client fill out the?Organizational Check Up? assessment (or another similar assessment) that will help us understand different strengths, weaknesses, focus areas and priorities.??
