The CGI Voice of Our Clients (VOC) program is essential to understanding our clients’ strategies. There is no sales agenda present in these meetings; rather, the VOC allows us to have in-depth conversations that bring to light invaluable insights related to our clients’ specific priorities. These strategic discussions are fundamental to developing a deep understanding and accurate overview of my clients’ challenges and goals, allowing me to act as a trusted advisor, working side-by-side with them to build strategies that help them meet their customers’ needs.

Depth of data helps benchmark best practices?
VOC interviews are not only a way to collect data from my clients about their priorities. It is also an opportunity to share anonymous, aggregated data with them about how their peers are performing and the trends in their sector so they can draw upon the comparisons to benchmark best practices. It’s also a two-way street. To collect high-quality insights, you have to provide value to clients. VOC is a global program that allows us to present trends across industries and geographies, including my clients’ sectors, enabling them to anticipate what can happen in their markets.
Navigating climate change and decarbonization and addressing DE&I are mandatory if organizations want to retain their competitive edge.
CSR and sustainability are top focus areas
This year again, I found that data and customer experience are top priorities within the retail and life sciences industries. Another interesting finding is that CSR, including environmental sustainability, are key client goals - in some instances, even their number one focus. It’s becoming increasingly clear that navigating climate change and decarbonization and addressing diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) are no more “nice-to-haves”; they are mandatory if organizations want to retain their competitive edge.

Digital leaders’ insights inform strategies
Last, but not least, my clients pay keen attention to the trends and business and IT priorities of digital leaders, which include those organizations that are achieving expected results from their digitization strategies.
