Leaders who can translate technical achievements into measurable business impact will shape the future of the industrial materials industry. For companies, identifying and empowering these leaders is more than a talent challenge—it is a strategic imperative.
What specific skills and qualities do you need to look for in these transformative leaders? And how do you measure whether they apply their capabilities effectively to drive commercial success?

1 个月Dear Astrid. It is a great question to answer, but not a simple one. I think a great leader should see beyond technical achievements (product) and early enough. I believe in a Product-Market/Segment-Organization fit. If you bring the greatest technical achievements to market/segment that undervalues that even the right organization would not help. This you can triangulate in any other scenario where one of elements is misfit. Thus for me the critical skill for the leader is to be able to see and address this.
