I’ve often been asked what the role of a CFO is and how I could help in various areas of the business. Here is a brief summary of specific areas of business and what the CFO role entails. I’m always happy to elaborate so feel free to contact me directly.

Strategic Finance

Strategic finance involves aligning financial management with long-term business goals. The CFO plays a critical role in driving this alignment by developing financial strategies that support sustainable growth. This includes overseeing capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term investment decisions.

CFOs are both hands-on in building detailed financial models and overseeing teams responsible for executing the broader financial strategy. By striking this balance, they help ensure the organization is well-positioned to achieve its strategic goals while maintaining financial health.
