The strange connection between the recent Mali Coup and The Astrologer's Curse

Leading the Charge Towards Net Zero: Partnering with Organizations to Reduce Emissions and Drive Impact
It was a strange coincidence that a scene from my book, ‘The Astrologer’s Curse’ was played out in the recent coup in the West African country of Mali (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53833925). In the book, one of the central characters, General Mataba Meme Mali, also President of Mali is overthrown by his deputy. Incidentally, years ago the General had himself become President after overthrowing his boss.
In the book, the coup leader says he has acted on behalf of the “Freedom Council of Mali” while the recent coup was led by a group called, “National Committee for the Salvation of the People”. In the book, the President makes a daring escape while in the real coup the President has resigned.
Writing a book takes a writer to many places and Mali was one such. Hope Malians find a way out of their troubles.
