Have you realized how every great TED Talk has started with a story? Exactly.?
Speaking to your audience through a story adds so much depth to the conversation. Go from simply being a noise to a voice worth pausing everything else for.?
So, here’s how to be a good storyteller:
- Stimulate their senses. Phrase your message in a way that allows them to really visualize how it would feel to have your product in their hands. Does it feel silky? Does it feel expensive? Does it smell so delicious that their mouth starts to water?
- Make them dream. Sell the problem you are solving, not the product you have. If you sell journals/planners, tell your audience how using it could give them clarity, eventually leading them to live out their dream life. What you just sold? A glamorous future.
- Praise the potential. Give your consumers ideas, enrich their minds with what they could do with your product/service. If you sell bags, you could show them its versatility. Perhaps it could be worn as a: crossbody, backpack and shoulder bag. This way they too will agree that your products are worth the “hype”.
Go on, go share your story with the world.
