The scenario
Konrad is a 26-year old cricketer representing Australia in a Test match against an international team. Prior the match, he’s induced, either through suggestion, persuasion or direction by his captain and/or coach, to tamper with the ball.
While Konrad is a rookie player at this level, he has been playing cricket for over 10 years and is sufficiently experienced to know that this ‘suggestion’, ‘request’ or ‘order’ is against the rules and the ethos of the game.
