The Story of Tricentis India

I am Time…as continuously flowing as ever…the fourth dimension of space, after length, breadth height. As I have been running for a long time, I am more like many small rivers coming together and showing a magnificent representation of their individualities. There are many stories that are wrapped around me. Today, I am telling you a short and wonderful story of Tricentis India.

Back in 2010-2012, Tricentis Tosca was known to many IT professionals in India. However, this story is about when the journey of Tricentis started in 2007 in Vienna by Wolfgang Platz and Franz Fuchsberger. We can thank “early adopter” customers like Allianz (Germany), Swiss Reinsurance and UBS who brought Tricentis Tosca to India via their implementation partners. Companies like Accenture, Cognizant, NIIT Technologies, SQS, Infosys Wipro were running some early projects with small teams. A couple of years later, Tricentis executives were visiting India and it became very clear that a large user base would be required to expand the product. They were confident that India would play an important role in the coming years, thanks to the Indian IT powerhouses. I witnessed this phenomenon unfold firsthand.

By 2015, I remember that Tricentis had reached greater heights by growing its footprint in the software testing market. Tricentis was also setting up bases in additional continents (across EMEA, APAC the Americas) to reach out to “prospects,” and pitch their breakthrough product, and “collaborate” with partners to implement large automation programs. At that time, of Tosca certifications were in of 4,000.

In June of that same year, Tricentis came to India and Pune became the headquarters. It took 1.5 years to grow the India entity from 1 to 10. However, surprisingly, it did not take much time to reach an organization with 50+ employees because of the high demand. Thanks to the executive sponsorship, super strong partner focus and user enablement activities from 2015 on, Tricentis has seen a 10 X increase in the number of certifications to more than 40000+ certifications (at the time of writing). The latest information shows India is currently home to 10500+ certified users with hundreds of customers and multiple partners providing services.

The second dimension to know about Tricentis is its annual customer and partner conference Accelerate. Tricentis Accelerate is the company’s flagship worldwide event and it is also Europe’s largest testing conference. Every year, the conference is attended by hundreds of customers and partners. Almost all India-based users of Tosca want to join the Tricentis Accelerate conference. Hundreds of users from India follow the news and register for the conference. The Tricentis Marketing team members know that most of them will not attend the conference in person due to travel and other logistical reasons. I have seen most of the India users eager to talk about Tricentis Accelerate with their managers. Some people from partner organizations have made it to the event, but the majority of them are still unable to attend.

Now imagine: What if there was a full-day, practitioner-driven activities-based day planned in India. Tricentis Founder Wolfgang Platz, Tricentis Chief Product Officer Dr. Gerd Weishaar, along with many Tricentis Product Managers would join the event. And Tricentis’ India-based customers and very important partners showcased their capabilities at the conference. On top of that, wouldn’t it be nice if the event occurred in Bangalore and Pune, India?

I have excellent news to share with all of you: Tricentis is bringing Tricentis Tosca User Conference to India. I feel excited and happy to announce that the 27th and 29th June have been reserved for the conference.

I cannot tell you more about the future since I live in present. But I do see that Wolfgang, Gerd, and the Tricentis Product Managers are planning to conduct sessions and that intense technical workshops are being organized. What’s more: I see many complex and new topics being covered. Finally, last but not the least, this is a day for practioners, partners and customers to witness the event.
