‘Story, ’A PLATE OF MOMO’

CHAPTER 1. YOU’RE PREGNANT?

The story starts when Ravi has just entered the newly opened restaurant next to Naxal junction. This is the story of Love, Drama, a Slice of life, Comedy, and Adventure between a mischievous girl and an unyielding man.

It was around 1 past 15 in the afternoon and Ravi has just finished his work and felt hungry as he has a habit to eat around 1 pm every day during his break. He has heard from his colleagues that just 5 minutes walking distance from his office next to Naxal, there was a newly opened restaurant that serves good hot MOMOS and so he’s going for that today as he himself counts as a food hunter. After walking 5 minutes, he sees a signboard displaying a restaurant name, ‘Evan’s Hot Momo’ and the exterior of the restaurant looks beautiful as it was surrounded by small newly planted olive trees and some seasonal flowers. He pushed open the glass door and enters the restaurant he sees almost all the seats were full and founds that in one corner a seat was empty next to the 5 college girl students who were all laughing and chatting in a loud voice waiting for their order to arrive. He sits next to these and orders the waiter for a Chicken Momo and coke while the waiter keeps records of his order and lefts for the kitchen counter to pass the order. He goes to the washroom to wash his hands following the signage which is not far from his location. He goes to the urinal to pee and afterward come to the washbasin to wash his hands while singing a song at a low volume.

?Just as he washes his hands and comes outside of the washroom, he was greeted by the sight of a beautiful girl who’s in a uniform rushing toward him in a hurry face flushed red. He was about to move but suddenly he realizes that the girl was already in front of him. He was shocked why she was so fast and he tries to speak to her only to discover that his shirt is full of smell that is of course from the girl as she threw up on his shirt making his white shirt turn grey and dirty. Now, it’s his turn to feel hot due to shame that his shirt was dirty not just because of the mud or dust but because someone vomited on it. He felt like his worldview has collapsed and he needs to hide from the people. He has no idea what to say to the girl and suddenly

he asks her in a loud voice pointing his finger at the girl, “You are pregnant?”

The girl who was feeling guilty and shy because she has ruined his shirt and she feel like her princess image was down in front of all the people because of her vomiting in public and more importantly the guy who looked to be in his late twenties like an office employee has just shouted in a loud voice ‘are you pregnant? What kind of logic is that?

She asks fast in a flushed beet red face to him, “What kind of logic is that? How can a person who vomits is pregnant? I’m still single and do you think a person who vomits is always pregnant? Does that mean a man never vomits?. She voiced her thoughts disapprovingly to his question with many questions to him.

Ravi says face flushed in a red feeling sorry, “I’m sorry, I was carried away because of this as I was not expecting such a thing to happen to me and suddenly, I lost my cool. I’m sorry.”

The girl’s name was Radha, she responds to him, “Now you understand, right. We have ordered 4 plates of buff Momo and 1 plate of chicken Momo but once the order arrived, I shoved the Momo from the first plate as I was so hungry from the morning class. But mistakenly it turns out that it was buff Momo as I never eat buff Momo and I forgot to ask the waiter which one is chicken, and this happened.”

Ravi calms down and replies, “Oh, that’s what happened. I’m sorry sister.”

Radha replies instantly, “Don’t call me sister, I’m not your sister. You can call me Radha, it’s my name.”

Ravi smiles scratching his head, “Uh, ok miss, I mean Radha, and I also have a name. You can call me Ravi”.

Radha smiles and says, “Are you going to talk like this? Don’t you have to wash?

Ravi scratched his head and asks, “Will you wash my shirt, or do I need to wash it? Wait, don’t you need to wash your face first?
