I was eating corn last week, which I love to eat. I suddenly heard a snapping sound in my tooth and realized that my tooth was broken . When you're 30 or older, having an anterior tooth broken makes you half-broken. As I live out of town, I was googling as usual for the best dentist in the city. I found an ‘X’ clinic and went for a consultation. They checked and said this required a tooth implant and cost around ‘X’ money. As a typical middle-class man , checked whether the cost could be reduced.
?When there is will, there is a way. Yes, sir, if the same implant is done by juniors, it will cost around ''Y. I was like, Here I go, and decided to have the implant with Juniors.
?The surgery started next week, and a group of doctors around me made me very comfortable and started the procedure. As the process started, it was very evident that they were learning things from my teeth. And my heart started pounding whenever the senior doctors corrected their mistakes. In my mind, I was like, if the senior discussed in Gregorian, I would have been happily lying down. Every step they took was very careful, as they didn’t want to mess anything up. I was literally watching all this having the procedural objects in my mouth. Finally they completed the operation and declared it a success. They were happy and took a picture with me after the successful procedure. However, this is not the end of the story; they just completed phase 1 of the implant.
?Post-implant, I was advised to visit the clinic next week to have a temporary crown, as the whole process takes two to three months. Post-implant, it was not much pain for me except a small discomfort, which is as expected.
I went to the clinic next week for the temporary crown, and again, from the group of doctors, only two juniors took me up for the next process. They started fixing the crown, and while all this happened, the actual doctor(Boss of clinic- expert) who I expected to consult in person didn’t review my outcome from the beginning.

Here comes the twist: while doing the step 2 procedure they did something incorrectly and messed up the whole process. The two juniors called the senior and while she reviewed, she found that they messed up.She immediately requested to inform the experienced professional (Boss of the clinic) and the juniors were hesitant to do so; however, on pushing, they intimated the expert.
This is the first time , the expert reviewed me in person and found that it was not as expected. There were two junior doctors involved in this process, where one was a key surgeon in carrying out the procedure, and the other was an assistant. When the expert found that these two messed up the whole procedure , he was yelling at the doctor who was helping the surgeon however the surgeon didn’t say anything, and after multiple scoldings, assistance mentioned that it was the fault of the surgeon.
?While all these things happened, I was still lying with my mouth wide open. He immediately concluded that I would take care of this procedure and started preparing me and the room for it.There was a 15-minute break, and the things started from square one. Imagine what would be running through my mind, not to mention here. The expert didn’t check anything about my mindset and didn’t get any feedback. I started giving injections for the procedure and said in 10 minutes my job would be over .
While he was doing his operation, he was yelling at people, not realizing the pain I was undergoing and making me feel complete discomfort, which I didn’t face even during the three-hour window. He finished his job as expected because it was a cakewalk for him. I was not even prepared for it, but I succumbed to the procedure. I was too tired and riding my bike back home totally drained.
I was about to faint and took some food and drinks to regain my consciousness. This is the end of the story.?
I was not even worried when things went wrong because it was something very familiar to me and I was used to it; however, the steps taken to fix the issue made me very uncomfortable because of the way it has been treated. I am not here to say anything about project management philosophy; however, I felt many has been hidden and comes in front me while I was lying in the operating room. Happy Reading.
