Story of a MaidProvider

"Once, some of my friends made mockery of me since I wasn't going to attend BCS examination, now some of them are frustrated with their career.

I was born in sayeedpur of Nilphamari, but I was brought up in Pabna. My father was a full-time businessman. I belonged to a lower-middle-class family. From the very childhood, my sole purpose was to make me happy and erase all the sorrows of my mother. I never imagined that one day I would become a businessman like my father.

My childhood was diversified. I was good at playing football. I enjoyed singing when I was young. I liked Rabindra sangeet. I was also a religious person at the same time, Which made me interested in becoming a Qari(Reciter of Al Quran) one day when I was in class six. We were taught about Arabic literature until level 8, Which helped me to excel in the Arabic language. I got GPA-5.00 in both SSC and HSC from Al-hera Academy.

After that, I applied to too many universities. I got selected in SUST, IUT, BAU, and SAU. I decided to get admitted to BAU, but I couldn't due to the failure to give a subject choice on due time. Also, we couldn't pay the fees for IUT. So, I came to Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. One of the reasons for being admitted to SAU was that I could live in Dhaka, which will help me have an income of my own by providing tuition to support my family.

After getting admitted, I couldn't cope up with the system of SAU. Notably, writing of practical notebooks was something that always disgusted me. So in the very first year, I wanted to get my self into the army. But I failed in ISSB.

So, I remained at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University.

I was never serious in studies at SAU. I always thought that I would never get the chance to apply the knowledge that I had gathered in SAU. I was involved with the debating club from the very beginning. I established a debating club at my school. If someone wants to get connected with a club, they must love their work. But I never saw those things here.

I was always the champion in the hall debate and stood runners-up in JU, National ICT debate. I think my self as a better coach than a debater. I've given a lot of time in creating debaters.

If someone is the reason for my getting involved in the home maid supplying platform "Hello Task," then he is my brother. My little brother has always been interested in business. He has always been an extrovert. In 2017 he decided to establish a delivery service named Robo Dako. Just like UBER, we thought that there would be a platform for the delivery. But we failed miserably since we created a product which didn't have any market. During that time, I left my hall. We started living as a bachelor in a flat in Dhaka. But the home maid's sudden absence was a significant problem. So we one day posted on Facebook writing "Bua ekdin ashe toh Doshdin ashen na (Home maid's absence is more significant than their presence), which became a viral post overnight. So, we got the idea to create a platform for home maid services for the first time.

Now, we have almost 700 maids working for us. We have served nearly 36,000 customers. Oxfam, an international NGO, came to our country with 10 million dollars. They offered us four years project. Moreover, they will add a $2.2 million grant, which will reduce our operational cost by 66%.

Our mission is to create a highly scalable platform. Now almost 10 million maids are outside the mainstream economy. We have been able to open them a bank account. We are teaching them the proficient use of apps. We have changed the word mouth employing system with the help of technology. Because of Hello Task, maids are now capable of earning thrice the amount of what they have made before. Now people know me as a "Buar Bebshayi "( Businesses men of the maid)

Our life is like a Buffet dinner. We can not fill up our tummies with soups. If we do so, we will miss other tasty dishes. So before starting any career, we should know what other things we could do in the world. What is more important than anything in life is knowing thyself. One should always prioritize one's passion. One should not decide one's career by seeing any of the seniors in the room. Everybody can do nine to five work, but only he will be happy who does enjoy his work."
