The world of international collaboration

Ukraine?? International cooperation, innovation and cluster policy
????? As we step into 2025, I want to share one story (of many) that inspires me to do what I do.
?? Over Christmas, I received a small but very special gift from a dear friend in the USA. We met 20 years ago during a school exchange—mine in Kane (US), hers in Kyiv (Ukraine). That exchange was a remarkable experience for both of us:
? For her, it was a chance to discover Ukraine—a country and culture so far from her own but one she grew to admire, and now prays for its victory.
? For me, it was an eye-opening glimpse into a country we in Ukraine often aspire to build—a land of opportunity and inspiration.
Two decades later, we still exchange and plan to see each other. What excites me most about this is how the experience shaped us. It taught us to respect other cultures, deepened our understanding, and inspired me to get into the world of international collaboration.
?? And there are many more examples like this! Whether in industry, science, technology, or innovation, these exchanges are vital. They bring knowledge, foster connections, and remind us of the power of working together—no matter how far we are.?? Cheers to the visionaries who created the first opportunities for international cooperation (and of course to those, who made our exchange happen). The programs however small or big, have the power to grow minds, build peace, and sustain our planet. Let’s continue sharing knowledge and making a difference, that builds bridges! ??
?? And here to connect, some exciting projects that I have on the horizon:

? Contribute to #Ukraine recovery and reconstruction via monitoring science, technology and innovation policy, supporting green transition, cluster development and industrial policy
? Strengthen #EU competitiveness and international presence by monitoring EU innovation, technology infrastructure and SME/entrepreneurship potential

? Work on strengthening EU-#Africa collaboration in industry, science and technology, as well as
And there are many more areas to grow. If you are passionate about global cooperation in science technology and innovation (EU, EU Enlargement, Ukraine/Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, Oceania: Australia and New Zealand), industry policy, cluster and ecosystem building or simply curious about what’s in store, I’d love to hear from you. ???Let’s make 2025 a year of meaningful and impactful action together! ???
