The Story How I founded NOTIC, Remembering some early projects and KEY takeaways

I tend to talk mostly about International Trade these days, focusing on the US as the largest economy in the world, or South East Asia, which holds the promise of the 22nd century. I track the Middle East, because its a volatile gateway to Europe. But what about where NOTIC began?

Industrial Relocating and Restructuring is what I've done since the beginning starting NOTIC-The Change. It’s our bread and butter and has been for near a decade now. From small relocation projects to closing massive factories, I've handled projects up to 85 000 sqm size.

How We Do It?

Relocating a production site can be a pain. But I have extensive experience managing the people side of things, including planning and executing negotiations with workers' unions and engaging in stakeholder dialogues. I will set up a team to handle the planning and execution of machinery relocation, preserving skill sets, and safeguarding documentation, all while maintaining a primary focus on SAFETY for everyone involved. It’s no small task and rarely a smooth ride, but for us, it’s what we’ve done well over the years—with passion and respect for everyone involved.

Whether it’s about closing shop on an unprofitable production site or relocations to scale up in consolidated sites and expanding to new markets, we’re here to make the process easier.

Safety First: Prioritising the safety of personnel and subcontractors is non-negotiable. Developing and adhering to a daily safety plan is essential.

  • Understanding the Mission: Every project starts with listening. What’s driving the move? Is it growth, consolidation, or survival? Understanding the “why” helps us plan the “how.”
  • Rolling Up Our Sleeves: From dismantling equipment to coordinating the logistics, we get hands-on to make sure the process is as seamless as possible.
  • Bringing It Back to Life: Once the site is ready, we reassemble, test, and get everything running. The goal is simple: operations should resume without missing a beat.

Remembering back to different relocation projects.

Real-Life Examples

  • From Closure to Opportunity: When Scandinavia’s last glass factory shut down, we managed the full relocation of assets and the disposal of what was left. The scale? 85,000 square meters and 270 employees. We got it done in a year.
  • Cross-Border Moves: We helped a company in Denmark relocate its production facility to Sweden, ensuring a seamless transition. Every piece of equipment was transported, reassembled, and tested with precision.
  • Expanding Horizons in Poland: Moving from Norway to Poland, one business trusted us to dismantle, relocate, and restart their operations. The result? They were back in business in no time.

Glass is a passion and like Steel Coils something that requires skills and know how.
