It all comes down to this. One million photos. Hundreds of bands. Festivals, clubs, theaters, arenas…..

From the very first shot to the last; it’s a story of determination and inspiration and it all started in San Francisco in April 2012 at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
I’m waiting to photograph Motley Crue, Poison and the New York Dolls. Holding a DSLR camera for the first time feels clunky and foreign, and yet here I am standing next to photographers from major publications who have been doing this for decades. I have no f*cking idea what I am doing.
Here it is, in all its unfound glory. The blood, sweat, fire, and masses of fans. From never picking up a camera before to award winning globally recognized rock photographer in just four years. Learn how I did it in record time and how you can do the same. But not just with photography. With your own passion, all in your spare time.
It saved me from a midlife crisis and gave me something to inspire every part of my life, both personally and professionally. How did I get here? That’s the story. Where did it lead me? That’s the journey. What did I learn? How to tell stories with photos, to manipulate light and action to create art. What was the result? A personal and professional elevation of my brand.
From never having picked up a camera before to photographing the biggest rock stars on the planet in the most exciting venues around the world. This is my story. Documented over five years, it’s a story of perseverance, of digging deep inside and pushing one’s self to do something they never thought they could.
I have an amazing designer and top quality printer, and with your help this book will go to print as soon as I meet my goal. I will keep all contributors updated and on top of the project as things progress, with photos, updates and videos along the way. You'll be along for the ride, and have the final product in your hands by the end of October/ early November.
Additionally, I'm thrilled that Lu?c Carl , author and the voice of heavy metal on SiriusXM Hair Nation and Ozzy's boneyard has contributed to the foreword.
So grab a drink, put on your rock ‘n roll seat belt and dive into a visual journey from the back of the crowd to the front of the stage.
