Story of Engineers.. after ENGINEERING

Two engineering students Ram and Raman were in the same college and class. While Ram has passed every semester with distinction, Raman always had a backlog in one or two subjects in every semester. In last semester, companies started coming in for hiring. Ram got into a reputed company through campus placement with above avergage package but Raman is still struggling to complete his engineering in given time. However, somehow Raman manages to clear all his subjects in last semester, though not with very good marks.
After completion of engineering, Ram joined his dream company, in which he was placed. All his friends and family had congratulated him for his success and joining this prestigious company. He had a set notion in his mind about these blue chip companies, partly because he had heard a lot from his seniors and also a image he had about these companies because they were well known companies, constantly making to the headlines of the pink papers.
As he started working for the comapny, initial two months were like dream come true for him. There wasn’t much of pressure and seniors were making him comfortable, in his early days with the company. However, after two months, when the actual workload was given to him. He realized that, this is not going the way he was expecting.. Slowly, he starts disliking the company. The atmosphere, culture, surrounding, the kind of work etc. was not the way he had imagined. Truly, realites are different from the dreams.. He starts blaming the manager, then the management and then the whole company. Now he wants to get out this company anyhow and starts thinking of an alternative.
Our other friend Raman is still struggling to get a job. He goes to all the companies possible but the CV doesn’t move beyond HR department. They won’t even speak to him. One or two places, where he managed to speak with HR, he got nothing but the disappointment. They said, “you are too educated to do a machine job, and less experienced to manage the same job.”
Nowadays companies are facing this precarious situation, where they hire people like Ram, who are there only because they scored well in their exams, mostly theory with little practical knowledge. He’ll either leave the company to do MBA or something else. The companies do try to get the best from college but is still struggling to get the desired output from people like Ram but at the same time they are not sure about Raman as well. This is precisely the reason, why there are millions of unemployed youth out there, even though we find pages full of vacancy advertisements in newspapers.
We at JSK Explorers, are trying to solve this problem and make world a better place for graduates and companies. This solution will help to achieve the Make in India mission. We are trying to bridge the gap between industries and institutes during their education , making students aware of the practical world and prepare themselves for the same. This platform will also help companies to understand the right students for right job, instead of just running after the toppers.
We are looking for people who share the same vision to help graduates and find an exact solution for Engineers.
