The story of a Conductor

The story of a Conductor

This story starts when I joined as a site engineer in a organization. I remember my bus journey, I use to go by bus no. 31. Mahadev Havalagi he use to be the conductor of that bus, Everyday after leaving from work, He use to call me and use to tell me that Prashant bus is on the next stop be ready to catch the bus, sometimes he use to stop the bus for me on JNPT station, what a beautiful time it was, This Sunday morning I was feeling nostalgic, remembering this days of my life.

How I started to interact with him, I remember I gave him 50rs, and by mistake he gave me 30rs extra, and that bus was crowded with people, I thought he will shout on me " Ke chuta kyu nhi hota tumhare pass", Somehow I told him that you gave me extra 30rs by mistake and conductor uncle was so sweet he said 'Kay nahi' ' gaay gaay made, jhala asel' and smiled, this was my first impression towards him.

Interacting with him made me to think a lot about life, One day he was telling me his story, Whatever I heard from him, it was totally 100% of life lesson. He use to do 2 jobs in a day, he use to wake up at 6:00 am in the morning and run towards his part time job (Amazon delivery boy job) till afternoon, After completing his work, he use to have his lunch at home, After lunch he use to run for his conductor job, conductor job use to be till 11: 00 pm. So, daily schedule was waking up at 6:00 am to ending the day at 11: 00 pm.

After getting 18+ he shifted to Mumbai, alone he came to Mumbai, When he started his journey, He slept on railway station, empty stomach/sometimes eating a wadapav, he use to cry in those days of his life, first salary was Rs. 2500.

He gone through a lot of tough days of his life, He said one thing to me which was 'Zindagi kiti pan kaator aasu de, Shehan krychye zidda asli pahije'.

In English 'If you are life is so tough, you have to have a power of holding it.

Right now, he is living a good life with his family. Having 2 sons and with his hard work he booked a dream house.

I was happy after listening this, I learned one thing from him which was being grounded will take you so far which you never thought.

Also the toughest thing which I got to know so far is being consistent towards goals. For making dreams true with all the hard work, being grounded, being kind and consistent will make those dream true because ' Little by little, day by day. What is meant for you will find it's way'.

Chalo, Thanks for reading it out!!! Have a great Sunday. :) :)
