The Story of Brian and BIOBADGE Card Holders

Let me tell you about my newest customer Brian.

Brian is solely responsible for staff ID card printing within his organisation.

When I met with Brian, he told me he has a great relationship with his current ID card supplier, and was sceptical of any kind of change.

During the meeting, I asked if he had any card printing problems that he required help with.

The usual responses I receive are along the lines of, my supplier is out of stock, we have had issues with delivery, the printer we were sold isn't doing what we need it to or a common one is my cards keep snapping.

Brian's response was a little different.

His words were "I'm under pressure from the management team to reduce costs on card printing products".

Sound familiar?

Now, I could have been lazy and won the sale on the spot by simply lowering my costs for the same items he orders, but I didn't.

When I arrived for our meeting, I noticed a poster on the wall of the reception area.

The poster detailed his company's plans to reduce their carbon footprint in 2019.

Bingo.

I had solved Brian's problem there and then without him knowing.

How?

BIOBADGE.

Our new BIOBADGE card holders were significantly cheaper than the standard plastic card holders he was purchasing from his supplier, 100% biodegradable and BPA free.

Not only did I save Brian money, he is also taking the credit from his senior management team for making such a positive change within the business on both levels.

The moral of this story is don't sell products, solve problems.

Finding out that little bit more about your prospects can go a long way.
