THE STORY BEHIND?"ANTA"

We all put many thoughts and much time into naming a newborn. Irrespective of the name we decide, what remains common amongst all is the meaning beneath it. We tend to pick the name representing the family and its roots that have taken years to grow, wide and deep. The story behind?ANTA?is no different from this.?

It all began almost four decades ago when two visionaries, Mr Jagbir Singh Dhull & Mr Jasbir Singh Deswal, dreamed of creating something extraordinary. In 1980, they established their first-ever broiler farms in Anta, a small village in the Jind District of Haryana, named "Skylark Poultry Farms", with only 700 chicks. Later in 1985, they established "Skylark Hatcheries" with 1000 chicks, and the journey to becoming one of India's largest poultry farms began. It was impossible without the tremendous hard work of all our Directors and the unbreakable trust of poultry farmers, who supported us throughout and never gave up. After 20 years of work and experience in the industry, Skylark Foods Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in Rai, Sonipat, in 2005.

When the time came to create a brand for the RTC/RTE chicken products, many lengthy discussions and brainstorming sessions took place. However, once the name was out there, no soul doubted its capabilities and authenticity. Mr. Vikas Dhull (Director, Skylark Feeds Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Anant Tomar (Business Head, Skylark Foods Pvt. Ltd.), and the complete skylark team decided to name it?"ANTA". A name that marks utmost respect for our roots. A place that gave birth to the success that Skylark Group today is.?ANTA?is not just a brand but a legacy.?

Skylark Group has come a long way from poultry to hatcheries, equipment, foods, feeds, and?ANTA. It has been an incredible journey so far, and we are hopeful that a better one is waiting.?
