The story behind Safri Duo's "Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)" by Michael Parsberg

Michael Parsberg is a Danish DJ and producer who is active in the music scene for a very long time already. In the past he was involved with projects such as Balthazar, Matanka, Fairlite and many others.

But he was also involved with one of the biggest dance tracks of the year 2000; "Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)" by Safri Duo. The track became a massive, massive hit and it reached the number 1 position in the charts of Denmark and Switzerland. Furthermore it became a Top 10 hit in more than 10 other countries. It also got the silver, golden and platinum status in many countries and it is worth mentioning that "Played-A-Live" got awarded 6 times platinum in their home country Denmark.

At the time of editing this vlog, the official music video of "Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)" just reached 100 million plays on YouTube. And also on Spotify the track is getting very close to 100 million streams!
