[Story No. 9] Sunrise Cafe in Virginia Beach
Thousands of vehicles travel along Great Neck Road every day -- and most pass right by one of the best kept secrets in the resort city. Located at the Mill Dam intersection is a breakfast and lunch destination that should be on everyone's calendar next week.

When you first walk into Sunrise Cafe, you'll be greeted by friendly waitstaff who quickly guide you to the nearest open booth. When I made my first trip earlier this week, I was overwhelmed with the quality of customer service. The staff asked how my meal was, made sure my coffee was topped off, and was very pleasant during the dining experience. On the day of my visit, WTKR News Channel 3 was even filming a segment called "The Breakfast Bus" which was very cool.
When you visit Sunrise Cafe in Virginia Beach, it would seem like you can't go wrong with any order from the breakfast or lunch menu -- but if you want the best deal, check out the Early Bird Special which offers (Two Eggs Any Style + Bacon or Sausage + Pancakes or Toast + Coffee or Tea) all for $4.49 from 6:30 AM to 8 AM.

Probably the best feature about this Great Neck restaurant is the close proximity to outdoor activities that can be found in northern Virginia Beach. Whether you decide to go for a hike in the dunes at First Landing, skip along the waves of Broad Bay, or spend the morning fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, after hours of physical activity, the perfect reward is to fuel up with a fresh cooked meal.
NEARBY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
The next time you find yourself in Great Neck, be sure to make plans to stop by Sunrise Cafe. Restaurant hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3 PM and 7 AM to 2 PM on Saturday & Sunday.
