[Story No. 1] Setting Goals for 2017

Every year -- around the last week in December, there is a common activity that occurs across the country. This event, or more appropriately defined as a "concept" is rapidly adopted, but rarely followed through. People make New Year's resolutions for a number of reasons. Whether to improve their physical health, intellectual capabilities, or spiritual well-being; whatever the case may be these promises to improve one's life are very important.

As we approach the start of 2017, I'd like to make a professional resolution for myself. Every week I hope to tell the story of one local business here on LinkedIn. There are so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and retail venues in Hampton Roads that need a little help getting the word out to the public. The goal is to share a story, that will help people discover something new, whether a Downtown boutique or a beachfront bistro. [ Story Preview ] TechArk Solutions

Located in the Freemason Historic District, where horse drawn carriages once passed along cobblestone streets, sits TechArk Solutions. The digital creative agency recently transplanted its staff from Virginia Beach to the mermaid city of Norfolk, VA. The close knit team that exists today was built over the past 4 years by founder Pratik Kothari.

Some of specialties at TechArk include website design, mobile apps, programming solutions, and digital marketing. A visit to the newly renovated office will reveal a collaborative workspace where team members are often consulting together on one project or another.

An important architectural feature of 415 West York Street, is the minimal presence of interior walls. This allows for the aforementioned collaboration to occur without physical barriers or creative roadblocks. Whether building a website for a local business, or designing a mobile app, innovation is the name of the game each and every day.
