Storming Universe pledges 750,000 dollars to bring medicines to the neediest areas

Storming Universe Lda , a startup incubated at UPTEC, has received a 750,000-dollar investment to develop a drone system for distributing urgent medicines and transporting blood to difficult-to-access areas, especially in developing countries.
Storming Universe wants to solve one of the main obstacles to democratized access to medical care worldwide. The difficulties developing countries face in this area are obvious because of the lack of infrastructure and the extreme climatic and geographical conditions in some of these regions.
UPTEC startups win innovation competition in Macau
connected is the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Macau) for Technology Companies from Brazil and Portugal 2024” winner.
NIUM won the prize in the Greatest Potential for Transfer of Technological Value category.
The startups incubated at UPTEC won two of the seven prizes awarded in the competition.
Corium Biotech secures 500,000 euros funding
Corium Biotech , a startup incubated at UPTEC, has received a new investment of 500,000 euros to transform the future of luxury materials. The pre-seed investment round is led by Biotope by VIB and Portugal Ventures .
This investment will allow Corium Biotech to continue its innovative work in cellular agriculture, enabling the further development of lab-grown exotic leather. With sustainability at its core, Corium Biotech aims to offer an ethical, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible bespoke new material without compromising quality, durability, aesthetic appeal, and uniqueness.
