Storm spawning California tornadoes heads toward the South

The National Weather Service confirmed a low-end EF-0 tornado with 75 mph winds in Carpinteria Tuesday and a second, stronger EF-1 tornado with 110 mph winds damaged several buildings near Montebello Wednesday (see above).

The system producing that rough weather is now targeting the South, with back-to-back days of severe weather expected Thursday and Friday. The risk on Friday is Moderate, a level 4 out of 5, as determined by the Storm Prediction Center:

This part of the country is more accustomed to Spring storms, and the ones developing there will likely produce several strong, violent tornadoes, damaging wind, and large hail.

Additionally, there is the threat of heavy rain, with a level 3 out of 4 risk for excessive rainfall across the Ohio River Valley Friday:

IS YOUR BUSINESS READY FOR SPRING STORMS?

Springs storms are likely just getting started after an early start, with tornadoes forming in January and February. Often, we hear from companies AFTER a storm strikes because their current method of knowing about severe weather didn’t work.

Is this your challenge, or is it something else? WeatherCall’s 24/7 site-specific weather monitoring delivers reliable National Weather Service warnings, so there’s no guesswork or surprises.

THE WEATHERCALL DIFFERENCE

WeatherCall only sends instant phone, text, and email notifications when the threat includes your business location. Additionally, our messaging provides visual displays, including live radar, giving decision-makers all the information they need to confidently make a shutdown or NO shutdown decision. Additionally, we provide “all-clear” notifications so they can resume operations.
