On Stories

Nothing spoils a good story as much as the arrival of an eyewitness.

- Mark Twain

?

Stories, by their very nature are of the past, but their real value is for the future. Since the beginning of human history, people have used stories to inspire others to action. For leaders, we can use stories to emphasize the lessons learned from past experiences and inspire others to rise in ways they otherwise may not.

Because the focus of our stories is on inspiring people to lead in a way that propels others forward, we have taken liberty with the accuracy of the stories in favor of the inspiration to act.

For storytellers like me, and the countless others who came before us, it is doubtful we tell the story the same way every time we interact with others. Our intent is to select a story relevant to the current topic and tailor it for the specific audience and the challenges they are likely to face.

For those eyewitnesses to the first-hand account, please bear with the creative license we use to make our points. This is the way we remember it. It may not match your memories exactly.? Come with us into the story and allow yourself to focus on the lessons learned and the challenges ahead… (stories to follow)
