Right off the bat, why even tell stories right? How does it matter? Is it overrated?

Stories are what we resonate with. As Humans, we related to stories better.

It's not rocket science. It's pretty simple when you look at it. When you have the basics in, you are well on your way to becoming a Master Storyteller who can steal any stage!

 It's not something new either, we're been sharing stories even before language as a form of communication was came into existence. That is how we share knowledge.

 The copy that goes out can be something like,

 Psst, you know what happened the other day?

 If you've said this, you're already a Storyteller and then continue to rest a persuasive case.

Ms Akila, the lady who taught me to tell stories always said this to her readers & listeners 'Take it with a pinch of salt'. Now that the disclaimer has been set, let me narrate you a story.

I trust, we all have heard of the elevator pitch at some point. Elevator pitch is named for the amount of time it should take to deliver it / the duration of a short elevator ride (roughly 30-60 seconds). 

So once a salesman from Kone, gets into an elevator with a potential client. Starting at the 20th floor and with roughly 2 minutes to make an impact, he makes his pitch and is done by the time they are at the 10th floor. The client looks at him and says would you like to add something, you have another minute. The salesman smiles and says 'If this was a Kone Elevator, that is all the time I would have had'.
