Jumpers are probably worn by many people, so do you know the stories about jumper knitting? With the times changing a little, what has happened to it that is different? Today we share with you the stories about jumper knitting, warming people's hearts and showing the wisdom of knitting, what is your story?
Women who experienced the seventies would know that people in those days dismantled their white thread gloves to knit jumpers, and because there was a great shortage of wool, they would also use pomegranate skins to dye them in the colours they wanted. Living conditions were not as good as they are now, and you had to take a ticket to buy everything. I remember one of my friends saying that when she was a little girl she loved these knitted items and she would buy those long white shoelaces and pull them out and attach them to her school bag, feeling that she would be a little more unique than the little ones around her. It seems that although living conditions were not always good, girls of all ages, regardless of their age, all loved beauty and were passionate and patient in this pursuit of it, and also showed the ingenuity of the crafty girl in her knitting.

Someone else shared that when she was a child her family had no money, but her mother did not want to treat her child badly, so she knitted a jumper for her child out of pure wool and took great care to dye this jumper red. It was just the kind of coarse raised wool that was used at the time, and because there was no underwear underneath, it would be rather snug and not as comfortable to wear, but it was warm and inviting, so such a garment was still very precious.
By now, everyone seems to be getting richer, and some people think that if a jumper has been worn for a long time, they should just throw it away so that they can go to the shop and buy a new one. In fact, for those jumpers that we don't particularly like, or those that have been worn for a long time, we can take them apart and knit a new patterned jumper of our choice, based on our own design. With a re-knitted jumper, you will find that it looks like a new one. For some people who are good at hand knitting, their knitted jumpers are no worse than shop bought ones, and some people can wear their knitted clothes without being able to tell whether they are machine knitted or made by themselves.
?A girl who can knit a jumper needs to have the patience and perseverance to bring out the look she wants with two needles and a ball of yarn in her hands. Different eras always have different stories, and so does the knitting of a jumper, which is a reflection of the picture of life of the times in knitting and the way of life of the people of that era.
