Stories from the Studio | March 2024

Take a look back at March with us, including work for brewing icons BBF and NatPower UK - who have the largest clean energy development programme in the UK.

March also marked B Corp Month!

What's next for the studio? Our assessment is officially underway, evaluating our social and environmental performance, taking a deep dive into every aspect of our operations, and ensuring we meet the rigorous standards set by the community.

New Brews

These designs have been brewing for a while... Excited to share some recent special cans we've designed off the back of our partnership with South West brewing icons Bristol Beer Factory . Great to see (and taste) them out in the wild.

Building on our long-lasting collaboration, we’ve updated Stowaway Festival 's site to spotlight this year's look and feel with fresh features, dynamic states and funky layouts that house beautiful illustrations by Caroline Selmes. Check out their incredible 2024 lineup!

NatPower UK is live!

Great to be involved in the launch of NatPower UK who've announced a £10 billion investment in the green power industry, fielding the UK’s largest programme of energy transition assets.

What's hot???

We love: Impossible Foods by Jones Knowles Ritchie

Cooked to perfection

The new game-changing identity was inspired by butcher shops and beef, with a bold palette at the heart of the evolution repositioning the products to take on the meat market. Very well done.

The Canton Cutler by Sm?rg?sbord Studio

Razor sharp rebrand

The Amsterdam-based Sm?rg?sbord Studio uses Blackletter typography, hairline illustrations and modern colour choices to create a sharp overall look for bespoke bladesmith The Canton Cutler.

Typeface of the Month: Seabirds by Rosalie Wagner

A homage to the historical legacy of lineals. Seabirds combines different sub-genres of the sans-serif category within a single typeface. The fontface?emerged through the study of book covers from the first half of the 20th century—particularly those crafted in the 1930s for the renowned publisher Albatross.

We're Loving

We're loving the Made By Folk podcast. Especially the latest interview with Johanna Drewe and Gemma Ballinger at Output , plus episodes with Marina Willer of Pentagram and type boss man Rob Clarke.

Listening to

20 years of Madvillainy - one of the great Hiphop albums ever made.
